Re: Fudge is badly injured

Thanks for that Sue....I have heard of Ainsworths. I thought having them neutered had done the trick they have both been neutered for over a year now

Incidently, have you heard of any homeopathic drops to stop queen cats calling??

Re: Fudge is badly injured

TELL me about it!!!! Have three in call all at once! I have heard that one half of a piriton tablet given at night can help! I would do it in the day though if trying something new, just in case of an adverse reaction! Other things, are to take them out in the car for ten mins, as usually when taking a cat to stud brings them out of call ha ha ha!! Or Ainsworths have a remedy also, which is why I was recommended them in the first instance! I myself am a bit wary of the stuff you get from the vets, as sometimes this can have long term effects, so would rather avoid it!

Any news yet on Fudge???

Suexx

Re: Fudge is badly injured

Well, I have just got home with Fudge. He was to stop in the hospital overnight but he started to eat so they decided I may like him home He has stiches and clips and the wound is about 6 inches long He has antibiotics and painkillers and a gut supplement and he has to go back on Monday morning unless he doesn't poo in which case he has to go back tomorrow. Have sorted another hutch out so the boys will now be kept seperate Will try and post a piccie of his injury when he has settled a little.....

Re: Fudge is badly injured

Hope he goes okay, has had a nasty shock though, poor little mite, sounds like a horrendous wound!
Did the vets give you an idea what to expect? Did they give you the stuff to put in his water to help with stress? Mind you won't help much if he is not drinking!
They must have an emergency number if you are not happy?

Oooh! Fingers still crossed!
