Litter Box Problems

Hi, I'm having much problems with my cat using the litter box. We (my family) moved to a new house about 3 years ago and my cat is 10 years old. When we first moved my cat always did her business in this one bedroom and sometimes in the litter box. So we simply just kept the door shut. That solved that problem till now. I now moved down to that room and my cat always follows me so she always wants to be down in that room with me, but she always goes pee and poo down in that room. Sometimes she goes in the litterbox but maybe once a week she goes in the bedroom. Right now the litter box is in the laundry room... is that a problem? Should i try to move it to a bathroom? We also recently bought a new bigger litter box for her. I hope you are able to help me with this problem! And one more thing, what is a good product to get the pee out of the carpet Thanks in advance

The above links might help. Is it not possible you could have more than one tray in the house?
A solution of washing powder and water should help get the urine out of the carpet.

Re: Litter Box Problems

I have had problems with cat pee in carpet and if you look at this thread it might be helpful.

My cats are much happier now as I have provided two litter trays and there is a good solution DM recommended to me to neutralise the urine in carpets to help the cat forget where they soiled before.

Good luck!
