Yuk! I didn't know that name, had to Google them and we have them too, known as pillbugs here. I can't imagine them being very tasty, but a young cat has to experiment...

There - another American/English difference. I suspect that your pillbugs do in fact curl up to look like pills ........... it seems that here at least we have curly up ones and non-curly up ones! I don't mind them - they recycle wood material.

Oh indeed they do curl up; when I was a little kid I used to poke them to make them curl. Yes, they're beneficial; now that I think about it I haven't seen any in ages. Another thing on the endangered species list??
