Non rainy Thursday.

Good morning Pamela and Shelley,
Well it's finally stopped raining here and we've had water coming into our lounge as well as the front conservatory all during the night.. Janna put down waterproof sheeting in the front but the carpet in the lounge is all sodden by the door. I'm not worried about the carpet as it was ruined anyway with Willow but I don't know whether any water got into the lounge wall. We've got the heat pump going and the windows open to try and dry out the carpet a bit. If not, I'm going to have to get a firm in with their big fans, like I did last time. The poor cats were terrified. I'm hoping not to have to do that.

It's a nice day now but we have heavy rain warnings in place for Canterbury and the peninsula for tonight again. I've got washing out ,so hope to get that dry.

Janna has taken the bus up to St Martins to go to the New World supermarket there.I told her I wanted a carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and they make really nice ones there. It's a shame it's so far away from here. She's working all day tomorrow doing a training course.

Cats are all fine. Snoddy is on my pillow as usual and the others are all enjoying the sunshine in the back conservatory I might go out and join them soon.

Not sure what I'm going to have for tea tonight, but it will be something simple., maybe soup and bread rolls

PAMELA, I hope that everything is going well for you, my friend. It's good that you have an understanding boss. How is your friend Mandy? I hope you are still finding the time to see her for coffee, Pamela. She sounds like a lovely person as well as an animal lover.I hope everything to do with the house is going smoothly. You must be getting really excited now.Have a good Thursday and don't work too hard.

SHELLEY,hope you have a good day wherever you are - in Scotland at the van or back in England. I suppose you'll be having some doll shows coming up now that your weather is nicer. I meant to say yesterday that I hope your dad and Jet are both doing well and enjoying their walks and that Chris is doing well .Love to you and the pups, Shelley.

Well ladies I'm off now. This computer chair is no good for my back, so I'll go back and sit on the lazy-boy with my book for half and hour.

Have a really good Thursday, Pamela and Shelley.

Re: Non rainy Thursday.

Good morning Dinky,

soo nice to see you back I did mean to reply to your post last night but didnt get a chance

Glad the kitties are doing well. I used to love when Skye slept on my head (which was every night!!) The cake sounds nice, ive never actually tried carrot cake!! What kind of soup did you have? i only like chicken soup, chicken and rice and chicken noodle. (bit of a theme there!!) I am going to be making nice Aberdeen Angus burgers and chips for dinner tonight for Steven coming home. Making me hungry thinking about it and its only 820am!!

Working today as normal, starting soon. Im trying to stop starting early as we are trying to show that we need more resource as we are now 2 colleagues down due to them leaving/retiring and so far they havent been replaced with no outlook for it just now!!

I am actually meeting Mandy tonight for coffee. We talk every day and we have actually been catching up quite a lot recently. I took her past teh new house a couple of weeks ago to see it. She loved it as its very close to the countryside Im glad you liked it when you had a look! The girls are going to love it im sure!!

Shelley, how are you? How was your trip to the caravan? I hope yo had a great time!

Anyway i better go and get organised for work as start in about 10mins!!

Have a lovely day ladies
