Conjunctivitis

Oscar (elderly cat) has Conjunctivitis. I came home from work and his eye was not right and had a bit of gunk in the corner. However I thought this isn't right took him to the vets who said conjunctivitis. We now have drops - should be fun he has to have them two drops twice a day.

Apparently according the vets we have caught it early ie with 7 hours, as this morning he was fine no problems.

Any tips from someone who has experience of putting drops in cats eyes please?
Karen

Awww, sorry to hear about Oscar Kazz.....hope it clears up soon. I don't envy you trying to put drops in a cat's eye....it sounds like a two-man job to me. Let us know how you get on!

Re: Conjunctivitis

And to be honest he may be right I think it will become a one woman job - Ben won;t help he is convinced Oscar just tolerates him - Oscar was in my heart first and because he was so ill treated as a kitten he is very aloof - although he Oscar has softened slightly. Ben is convinced if he does anything that he (Oscar) does not like he will be back to square one ie Oscar hating him.

And to be honest he may well be right Oscar needs no one but me in his head, but Ben may have to be called into action - even if he does not like it.

Ben says its because Oscar was in my heart first. Jealous springs to mind - but he hides it well Oscar that is

Don't you think cats always seem to pick one person,I don't think I have ever had a cat that I would say was a family cat...
