Shelley's Dolls

as some of you know i've been cleaning/checking my dolls. I decided to take a pic of the Sasha dolls. They date from 1966-2007, some were made in England, some Germany.
Sashas were designed by a Swiss lady, Sasha Morgenthaler, she wanted to design an affordable doll for children to play with. The early ones had skin tones like Swiss milk chocolate. They are all designed to have an impassive expression so the child could imagine whatever emotion they wanted for the doll.

What a nice collection you have: so many different ones. Did you make the clothes? I enjoyed seeing those, Shelley!

That's quite a collection - I remember you posting a photo some time ago of the factory where they were made in Germany.

Re: Shelley's Dolls

thank you for your comments. Eileen , no i don't make the clothes, can't sew, won't sew
Most of the clothing is original to the dolls but there are people who make clothes especialy for Sasha and sell it for quite high prices

Re: Shelley's Dolls

How many dolls do you have - Are the Sasha's just one part of your collection? Must take a fair bit of looking after to look as pristine as they do. Well done
