It's Friday

Good morning all!

Sorry about the non appearance yest/recently...

Yest I had no time to stop online... Work was followed by taking wee one to the vet for worming/flea treatment. She was terrified poor poppet, and very good - beyond a few jumps and even a growl(? - too deep to my ears to be a hiss anyway!!!) at the flea injection. However, she's doing fine, and no other problems, so all good.

Once I got her back from that I pretty well had to leave her and run to the train station. It's only about a 10 minute walk, but I knew it might be heading on for 11 by the time I got home, so took the car. Thankfully littley's dinner is being sorted out by electronic feeder just now - I've a few weekends away coming up, and want her to get used to being fed by this strange thing (and make sure it does work properly!!!) before I go.

Was out in Ed for a meal out with some friends, and it was pretty well 11pm when I got back, so I didn't bother to switch on laptop, just got ready for bed, relaxed for a bit, and then went for sleeping!

Far quieter day today though - am on the weekend. So nice. Quiet weekend planned this week - the following two are on the busy side!

Eileen - was pleased to hear that you are resting/recovering, and am sure you'll know just when the right time is for you to bring Leia back home. I'm sure you miss her, but you do need to be ready, so am glad you're taking your time in doing so.

Have been following everyone elses news too. Glad Monty was so good Angie - you'll get there eventually with him. I'd imagine it's good for him to bond with OH first, and then get to know you better once that's secure. I'm sure he knows it's him who is the most keen on having a dog!

Catch up later!

*waves*

Wow Squirrel! I got exhausted just reading that!

Hi Pamela, my day is a bit ordinary too, housework and then some shopping. Went to the manicurist this morning and got the junior this time, I didn't mind as she's very good and in some ways more careful than the more experienced girls, it's just that it all takes so much longer.

Pleased to report that Morgan now feels well enough to jump on the sofa again

Re: It's Friday

Hi Squirrel - good to hear from you - busy, busy indeed! Hi Pamela - hope your day goes well. Hi MrsH - I am so glad to hear that Morgan is feeling better. What colour are your nails? I have never had a professional manicure - I think it would be great. Perhaps I need to drop OH a hint - it would be a good B'day present.

Bit hectic here - OH went out earlier to go to the ATM - out of order. We have our gardening man on a Friday morning and did not have enough cash to pay him! I was meeting a friend for coffee which I did, then went back to the vet because I'd forgotten to have Monty's inoculation card made up (duh - what am I like?) and then a tour of the neighbourhood to find another ATM that was working. Did find one and got home with the cash with 30 minutes or so to spare!!! One of the drawbacks of living in a semi rural area ...... ATMs are few and far between, especially where you can park, get your money and go. OH says there is a website that locates all ATMs in the area. Need to find out if there are any more nearby.

Monty has fallen in love with our gardening man - who adores puppies. So a nice bit of socialisation there. OH is taking him around the garden a couple of times a day on his lead - Monty that is, not the gardening man - in preparation for next Thursday when he will be allowed to go for his first walk.

Didn't manage to clean the bathroom yesterday - so that's on my agenda for this afternoon.

How are you feeling today Eileen??? A little better each day I hope.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Re: It's Friday

Friday the 13thm aaaugh!!!! Be careful, be very careful, all!!

Gloomy and damp here, only 16 C (61 F). on and off spotty rain; will be like this for the next 5 to 6 days. Ugh, but knew the spell of lovely weather wouldn't last.

Feel about the same today; had been a little better every day but may have plateaued. Appetite still off, but eating; would love to be hungry again!

It never rains but it pours: hacker attempt on one of my credit cards, so they have had to cancel the card and re-issue. Such a hassle having to contact everyone on line where you shop regularly and change the billing info! How I hate hackers!

Busy day indeed, Squirrel, rest and enjoy the weekend. Angie, good news about bonding with the gardener; MrsH, good about Morgan too! Pamela, hope the day goes well.

Take care, all

One of the manicurists today had turquoise and another one had yellow, a bit too way-out for me

Re: It's Friday

Hey all...

Good to see you all too...

I'll admit I'm about less than usual right now. Mix of tired and needing a break when I get home - and have just switched over from real broadband to mobile broadband... huge drop in price - I really don't use the house phone much so it wasn't worth it - but also have to watch very carefully to make sure I don't go over my allowance - by too far anyway. By now I'm realising that I should probably have gone for 3G, rather than just the one, but... 18 month contract, so... *shrugs*. I'm becoming really good friends with my books again, so all is not lost!

Quiz... I need to give it a month or so to see how practical attending will be - it might have to become an every now and again thing. I think am due to refresh my bill a week Sat, so...

Glad to catch up on how all goes for the rest of you though, even if I don't have much time for posting too!!! Sorry to hear you're not feeling a whole lot better. I'll bet you want that appetite back!!!

Catch you all around!

Been to work this morning, realy enjoying the job
