I said no more snow pics but

couldn't resist one last one showing how much snow is still on the ground 12 days after the last big snow. This is from my sidewalk looking east down the block.

You've certainly had a more than reasonable share of snow this year, hope it goes soon!

Winter wonderland (you wonder how you're going to get out of the house)
We went over Yorkshire way today and were surprised to see lots of snow still left on the hills.

March? April? Seriously, it's supposed to rain most of Monday, which should help. Temps still below our norm for the forseeable future .....

Hard to believe it's been lying that long and still so deep. Hope the rain reduces it further. Is there a flood risk in your area if rain melts all that snow?

Not in my immediate part of town, I'm in a hillier part, but flooding is always a danger in the lower parts ... like the Federal City (downtown), President Obama might need his waders!

LOL, Jo, I was exaggerating a bit there; if it did get that bad he'd just use the helicopter out to Camp David! I don't "do" cold well myself, but have no choice. Summer heat lover here, hurry August!!
