Sore Claw

I took Merlin (11 week old kitten) to the vet this morning for his first jab, got him chipped and wormed but on the way back, he was clawing at the wire on the cat carrier and a tiny bit of his claw broke off.

This afternoon however, I noticed that he has something between the pads on the same foot that looks like it's bled. It doesn't seem to be causing him any pain but I'm concerned and can't take him to the vet til Monday. Could this be from the claw breaking?

Re: Sore Claw

Try making a weak saline solution with boiled water and let it cool to body temp then clean the paw with that. It is probably a minor little nick from something but if it seems to still hurt on Monday then I'd get the vet to check it.
