Amaryllis outside


They get really big Summering in the garden; hard to judge the scale in these pics, but they are large! I'm annoyed at those urns, the paint keeps flaking off.....

Almost never. They like being root-bound, apparently they bloom better...??? I did repot the yellow one early this year, it had made 4 offshoot bulbs. The mom plant rebloomed, but not the babies yet......

There are a lot of flowering plants that like to be root bound DM, they make far more flowers...

I suppose it makes sense, if a plant is spreading its roots, all it energy goes into that, but if the roots have filled the pot, then puts its energy into making flowers...
