Making friends

A friend of mine popped round yesteray with her little puppy, Austin. Cats were very curious about him but not at all bothered. Eva quite liked the dog food

Re: Making friends

As soon as the puppy arrived, Bernie came running into the hall way from the garden meowing, heading straight for the pup, nosing and scenting him, he gave one little hiss and the pup trotted to the door and sat down. After that all was well, the pup settled down for a nap on my lap and the cats just went about their business.
Looks like Eva may never accept other cats very well but she may just accept a pup?

I was too, I really expected Eva to have a hissy fit and go into hiding. I thought Bernie would be interested but that he would keep a safe distance but nope, he was right in there, giving the pup the once over.

Re: Making friends

Lol, you never can tell with a cat, can you? If you say to someone, "He never..."or "She always..." the cat immediately proceeds to do or not do what you just said....
