Cat charity suggestions

Hi

Having recently lost one of our beloved little boys last week to a RTA and now realising the importance of these little animals my partner and I want to make a donation to a cat based charity.

We are due to get married next may and as Elena and I lead a comfortable life we decided to give all our wedding gifts in the form of money to Charity. Elena is half Cypriot so we'd have a money dance!!

We,re giving half to Cancer Research but also want to give the rest to animal charities (split between 4 charities).

Putting aside the likes of the RSPCA which we support throught the year anyway are there any less well known charities for cats that we could donate too where our money could make a big difference?

Thanks

chris

Re: Cat charity suggestions

What a lovely thought, we have several members here who help out their local CP centres, I also have a friend who runs and independant cat rescue based in North Wales, there are many such independant rescues and all very deserving of such a charitable donation, maybe there is one in your area that would be very grateful for such a donation.

Re: Cat charity suggestions

Chris, bless you and Elena for your generosity!! Can I suggest The Celia Hammond Trust http://www.celiahammond.org/, they do much good with rehoming cats and dogs including respite rehoming whilst elderly owners are in hospital or care.

Of course there is also Cats Protection who I, and several others here, do voluntary work for. You can either donate to your local branch or to the head office.
