Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Hi, peeps, what a nasty weather forecast!! Hope no one has any damage or power outages. It's cloudy and mild here, 24 degrees, with a 50% chance of t'torms this afternoon. My usual market run and messing about in the garden: a bud on the new agapanthus and two on the new yellow waterlily...woo hoo! Pics forthcoming at bloom time...

Enjoy the day, all....

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

It's turned out to be a nice sunny afternoon here but the wind is certainly wild. It managed to blow over one of my flower fountains with its force and snapped off several of the flowers in there. Fortunately I caught the other one just in time and managed to support it with heavy pots. Hopefully it will blow itself out soon!

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Hi everyone.

Well, today was a big day for me, as I was asked a month ago if I would lead the service at church today. Rather reluctantly I agreed lol, and it was today. Thankfully it seemed to go very well, and many people commented on how well I did. I'm just glad it's over tbh The theme was faith and how to get it and keep it. Only trouble is, they say it wont be the last time I do it now, gulp!!!

Very windy here too. My washing line snapped, bent my pole, blown over plant pots and nearly snapped my little tree in half. Luckily I got to it in time to tie it up. Hoping it dies down a bit soon.

Hope you are all having a relaxing sunday.

That was an honour for you Alex, I'm glad it all went well. Which faith church do you belong to?

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

It's the methodist church Mags. I was raised Church of Scotland, but obviously there aren't many of them down here lol, and this was the most comfortable for me.
