Any ideas?

Hey guys,
Im still alive you will be glad to hear
I need some help.
On the 12th June im going into hospital for treatment (re my stomache that ive been having hell with for years, think i told you)anyway after 4pm on the 11th June,im only allowed to drink clear liquids and clear soups(no solid foods at all).
Other than water (i hate water) what would be classed as a clear liquid? Would the herbal teas be ok?
And I havnt got a clue on clear soups.
Can anyone offer any suggestions please?

Hope you are all well

Re: Any ideas?

Sorry to hear you have to go into hospital Erin, I hope everything is alright

My hubby had to go on all clear fluids when he went in for an investigation once....... he could have beef consomme (clear beef soup with no bits in it), tea without milk, I would think herbal tea would be ok as long as there weren't any bits......hubby was also allowed to have jelly.

My best wishes to you anyway Erin...

I hope it all goes well for you Erin, sorry I don't have any ideas about the clear liquids, other than what's been suggested.

Hi Erin - sorry to hear about the hospital, but hopefully you will be sorted out and all will be much better for you afterwards.

I wonder if you would be allowed barley water - somewhere I have a copy of the Queen Mum's recipe for homemade lemon barley water. Not sure if this might be too acid for you. I'll look out the recipe in case it's OK.

Re: Any ideas?

Would lemonade, orange juice, vegetable juice be considered clear liquids? I would think so, also plain tea or chicken broth. Will be thinking of you, Erin...

June is apparently the month for hospitalizations: Tink in going in for the endoscopy on the 11th!
