old-time cat lover, wanting new cat!

hey everyone

the reason i signed up for these boards, apart from sharing my love for cats, is that i'm now in a position to have my first cat as an adult!

i've always grown up with cats, and my two cats (which i still consider very much mine!) live with my dad. i had to leave them behind when i went to Uni as they are outdoor countryside cats and I now live in Glasgow.

They are both moggies, but Sophie is a grey torti who has very British Blue looks, with quite a round face and short snout.

Chaska is a lovely wee thing, we found her when she was a day old abondoned by her mother under a tree, so we raised her by hand. She has the most incriedble orange, black and white tortishell markings: there is a perfect divide down the middle of her face, half of it's black and half is white.

So I can't take these lovely kitties with me to Glasgow, but I am now moving into a flat that allows pets! So I am really keen to get my own wee city kitty - but the reason I'm here is to find out more about it first, as having a cat with outdoor access to the country side, and having a cat in a flat in the city are two very different things I'm sure!

looking forward to hearing all about your lovely kitties and sharing some advice

Jen x

Hi, Jen and welcome to the friendly forum! Your cats at home sound lovely; do you have any pics of them? As to cats in flats, we have members who do and I'm sure will be glad to share their experiences. Any questions, just ask away!

Welcome to Catsey and good luck on your search for a kitty. It may be worth looking into having an indoor cat?? Not sure how close to a main road you would be
