New to this site

I have only been browsing this site for the last month. The reason why I joined this site is because this year I my two lovely cats both died. My first cat died in August she was 7 yrs old and had a tumour in her throat. My other cat died at the end of October he was approximately 10 yrs old, and he died of an enlarged kidney.
The house seems very empty without any cats in it.
After Christmas I am going to start looking for a kitten although I have been told this is the end of the kitten season, but my daughter would like an all grey female kitten or one that looks like the kitten whiskas tins grey with black markings.
I have always had cats from a rescue centre called Wellcat in birmingham, except the last cat was a stray who decided he wanted to live with us. We had him for 5 years and he was approx ten when he died, although when you have a cat from a rescue centre you never know their true age.

Sorry you're joining us under such sad circumstances, Annette. And great that you're considering rescue cats. Does it have to be a kitten? If you look at a slightly older cat your choice will widen immeasurably.

Whatever you decide, look forward to seeing the new arrival/s!

Hello and a warm welcome to catsey. Sorry you have lost your two babies and I can sympathise with the empty house feeling. It's not nice.
Anyway I'm sure you will enjoy your time here and we have a couple of people who foster for the CPL. There doesn't seem to be a kitten season as such, just more or less kittens as they are always about .
How old is your little girl? Mine is 6. She has very definite idea's of what she wants as well, until something better comes along that is . Good luck and keep us posted. I'm sure if anyone here can help you they will.

Hello Annette, a warm welcome to Catsey..

Sorry to hear of the loss of your two cats this year, that must have been so upsetting for you. I hope you are able to find the kitten your daughter has her mind set on ............. if not, I'm sure she will be tempted by another beautiful furbaby.

We have a couple of members here who foster cats and kittens for Cats Protection in the West Midlands area, maybe they will be able to help you when the time is right. If we can assist you in any way, just ask
