Re: Porsha and Teddie

Well, Miss Teddie is doing brilliantly this last little while. She is turning into a plump little miss lol!! Over the last 3 weeks we have gradually been taking her off the specialist meat and putting tiny bts of felix into her meals and I am very happy to report that she is showing no ill effects. We are now at 3/4 felix to 1/4 RC sensitive!! It has been a slow process but so very worth it! The vet is very pleased with how she has come through her spaying and feels that once she is off the special diet completely, there hopefully shouldn't be any further problems with her! yaaay!! She'll never be the type of cat you can throw treats at, but at least she will be on a normal food. The next step once she has been on felix for a few months is to try adding one biscuit to ever meal and building that up to see if she will be able to tolerate dried food too, but we'll see how that goes. So all in all, Miss Teddie Bear is doing brilliantly!!

Hope Porsha is doing as well Fran!

Re: Porsha and Teddie

well Mags, after she ate Broxis furball lol, she had an upset tummy for 4 days and is now absolutely fine now. Just think back 6 months, it would probably have finished her.

Kazz, glad I could bring a little bit of cheer to your day x

Everyday is cheerful Alex, sometimes you just have to look for it a little bit more.

Alex, that was a ray of sunshine in a sad day! It's wonderful to hear that Teddie's doing so well....there were times when I wondered if she was going to make it......just keep her away from Jac's ham sandwiches !! (Give them to me, I love 'em!)

I also Eileen, I also!! There were days when I sat and wondered if I was doing the right thing by fighting on with her, but now as I look into her little plump face, I can't help but smile!!

Re: Porsha and Teddie

Glad Teddie is doing so well Alex
Porsha is also doing well She had a relapse yesterday (must have got a hold of Morse's kitten food or the other cats' wet food) and had the runs for about 24 hours but we are getting back on track now thankfully! Porsha, seemingly will always have to stick to this one food that suits her but since she's been speyed, she's a different cat, enjoying life to the full inside and out on her harness and has clapped so much weight on. She's the heaviest of the Meezers by far now. And she's all loved up with Morsey, absolutely adores him. So all in all, things are good here, thank you for asking DM
