Patch n Angels new tank

Hi, I bought my 10 year old goldfish a bigger tank the other day. They are loving it.
Patch is the big male orange one n Angel is the white female one (but no babies in 10 years, which is strange!)

Looks good Jane!!

Just a thought, do adult fish eat their eggs if they are not removed from the tank? and that's why you haven't had any babies?? I'm not sure about this. Maybe Moli might know...

Thats a smart tank Jane.

Goldfish are quite hard to breed. Depending on the strain, some are man made and infertile.

Re: Patch n Angels new tank

Thank you.

I know that the water has to stay at the right temperature! and that the male chases the female (which mine do that) till she releases the eggs then the male firtilises them, and yes the goldfish will eat every single one if the eggs aint removed from the tank.
They do this early in the mornings. They also need live food to help them, ewww and live plants aswell (which I have)

So if they ever have had eggs the've either eaten them (as mine fish will eat anythin) I go out the house at 8am n dont have time to study the tank in the mornings. Or their infertile!!! I think their to old to be having babies now anyway. lol.
