Re: introducing milo and jerry

well it's never easy, cats are more difficult than dogs - in lots of ways - including introducing a new one. However introducing a kitten will be a lot easier than introducing another adult into your home & you will probably find that Jerry will accept him straight away. the kitten may hide for the first day or 2 which is understandable. Don't forget kitten needs to have time to adjust to a new home, a new family, a new friend & 2 new dogs. A lot for him to cope with, the key is that if he's well socialised (I'm sure he will be) then that will make life easier, at least he'll have seen other cats / dogs.

Re: introducing milo and jerry

Oh, he may hiss and spit a little at first, but it won't be anything really serious...I've never heard of an adult cat actually harming a kitten introduced into the house. It's hard not to pay too much attention to the kitten as they're so charming, but give Jerry lots of love and attention and I'm sure he'll be just fine!

And a lot depends on the kitten, too. When I got Dandy, my little Pura, he was a very affectionate outgoing kitten, and immediately adored Misty, my adult blue torbie...Misty spit and hissed a little, but Dandy would pay no attention ...he said, "Oh, you're a mommy-type cat!" and kept making up to her; she gradually hissed and spit less, and within 3 days they were sleeping together and she was washing him...
