Great pub names/signs

Have you got any?
There's The Silent Woman, near here. The sign is a beheaded female

I love this one, from Dublin, and it fits the forum

Re: Great pub names/signs

Theres a good one on the way into Wolverhampton, The Mermaid! And the sign is a pic of a stubbly faced fat man brushing his flowing blonde hair as he sits on a rock waving his tail about. My girls love seeing it!

There are also an awful lot of Blue Pig pubs around Telford!

There's The Blue Raddle in Dorchester - bet there aren't too many of those about,
Now you all know what a raddle is, don't you?

Re: Great pub names/signs

No country folk around?
(I'll tell you in a minute if no-ne else does - clue; there's a picture of a sheep on the sign)

There's The Cheese Rollers near Cheltenham, at the bottom of the hill where the mad folk chase down a precipitous slope on May Day, trying to catch a Double Gloucester cheese!
http://www.cheese-rolling.co.uk/

now, about that raddle ............?
