We've made a start....

on the livingroom

My dad came up Friday to repair the ceiling and I've spent the day sugarsoaping and glossing the skirting boards

I have also undercoated and glossed the door, it was a really disgusting lime green colour (not our decor I might add) but now it's a nice, clean looking white The skirting boards were nicotene stained from the previous occupants and something had to be done about it. Now that hubby's away we thought we'd take advantage of the peace and quiet

Here's some pics of how my livingroom is looking at the moment. Once we've smooth coated the ceiling we'll be painting the walls magnolia but keeping the fireplace wall in the heather colour.

The door now painted white, didn't take a photo of the lime green it was too disgusting and embarrassing

The livingroom in it's current colour 'Heather'

The 2nd pic has come out a lot darker as the furniture is actually navy blue with gold embroidery.

Re: We've made a start....

We're hoping to get it done in the next 2 weeks. I've made a start this morning on putting some smoothover on the ceiling and it's coming on great Hopefully once I've sanded it over I wont need another coat and I can just get on with painting the ceiling.

As we're not putting any decorations up this year, the kids don't want any as 'dad's not here', we thought we'd just aswell decorate then
