A little story, love or stupidity?

Since there has been a lot of answers to the dog thread I thought I would share this experiance with you.

Three summers ago Blue and Ceilidh were out playing in the back garden. Blue came in with blood on his face. I couldnt understand what had happened. I went round the garden but couldnt find what could have caused it. A few days latter the same thing happened again. I was stumped.
Then one of the boys was looking out the attic window and saw the two new girls who had recently moved in over the back talking to Ceilidh, One was sticking a stick in Blues face. I went mental!! Poor Blue he must have thought if I leave her she'll get it, he just sat at her side, never barked or growled.
I was so angry I couldn't go right away to there parents as I would have commited murder. My tactfull son (unknown to me at the time) went round and explained to the father what had hapened. I think there backsides were hot for a week. The mother came round and made them appologise to blue and gave him treats (from there pocket money).
My Blue still loves everything and everyone and here he is still looking after "his baby"

I am very proud of him. I can bring in strange dogs, cats even a hedghog at one point and he's fine. I think it's how you bring them up.

Good boy Blue.

Isn't it awful when kids aren't brought up to respect animals?

They were 6 and 8 and thought it funny that Blue wouldn't move. They know better now. Seemingly there Grans dog used to run away and hide when they visited. I wonder what they did to it? They only put 2 and 2 together after they had been caught with Blue.

What a lovely story Jac. Blue's obviously a well-adjusted dog but it's not fair to try a dog's patience like that

I love that pic of Ceilidh and Blue on the sofa
