Yes they are all good layers. We have 7 hens & most days have 6 or 7 eggs.

Fresh eggs every day - how wonderful We occasionally get hen and duck eggs from the farm where we keep the horse, they are so much better than the supermarket bought ones

Re: Some pics of the garden..

the large area you can see in the 1st photo - which has the fence around & no grass is the chickens area. Most of the time during the day they can mooch in the whole of the garden, but we have been keeping them in their pen over winter & can't have them out at the mo as we have no gates whilst the builders are here & it's just all open. Also if you look on the photo you can see their shed & around it are some mesh panels. They are from our old kennel runs & they are very secure all around including the roof - we leave them in there when we go away - so that someone only has to pop in once a day to collect eggs & not have to worry about letting them out / in. It is fox proof.

Greta pictures with a garden like that I can see why you didn't want to move. But in picture 4 can't you get the dog a bigger drinking bowl? she looks a little hard done by there.

LOL - she gets thirsty Kazz. Anyway had to make some use of the pool as the girls never made it to play in there.
