On a lighter note

Not a problem, jsut a change in behaviour which I found to be lovely and a little amusing.
I have mentioned in another post about there being a shift of power between Eva and Winston, just before Winston left us.
Well, last night when I went to bed, Eva was lying in Winstons bed, ontop of the bed. I reached over and flung my arms around her and kissed her, just as i always did with Winston. He loved all that stuff. Eva has never been a cuddle cat or a lap cat and so was a little disturbed by my deisplay of affection
We had a long chat about Winston and how, if she were to be filling his space, then she had just better get used to being cuddled and kissed all over She didnt look at all impressed but listened to what I was saying.
Today she is the fluffiest cuddlebum ever. On my lap being kissed and hugged with no growling. She even let me carry her round the house in my arms and she always so hated being picked up.
Bless the cuddly Diva

Re: On a lighter note

Just spent the last half hour in the lounge with Bernie, on the harness, and Eva. She did growl a bit but mostly her ears were forward and she was giving him those slow, friendly blinks. Gave them both loads of treats and fuss.
I think the old boy had a lot to say before he left

Re: On a lighter note

Am off to give my remaining kitties a lovely afternoon of fun, play, treats and gifts because they deserve it and it will cheer everyone up again. Time to lift the spirits because that what the old boy would have wanted
