A family of ferals....

Today whilst on a visit I was chatting to the lady about cats & she happened to mention there are a lot of cats opposite where she lives, she said she has seen kittens there. I asked her to show me, we saw 4 adults but no kittens today. She said there are at least 8 adults & she has seen at least 2 litters in the last few weeks. I said I'd contact the local CP (it's out of our patch) so I have contacted them. They were unaware of this feral colony & are going to look into it ASAP.

Re: A family of ferals....

Hope they get found and all get neutered. Poor things - feral just doesn't seem right when you compare with our pampurred pets

Re: A family of ferals....

There really is no excuse for feral colonies; it's up to all of us cat lovers to ensure that they are neutered (via CP or other cat charities) and if need be cared for in situ until the colony runs it natural lifespan.

Poor pusses . . .

Re: A family of ferals....

It is sad really - but then they seem happy & know no different way of life.
The lady I was visiting only got talking about cats because I had a call about a cat whilst I was with her. When she ws telling me about them, I said "you should have contacted CP & they would trap / neuter / return" and she said she had no idea she could do that . I have now contacted them & gave them the ladies contact details, so she can show them exactly where they are.
