Check up on tigger at the vets

In the past 6 months-ish my mum has noticed that tigger has lost abit of weight. So we took him the vets 2 weeks ago and they checked him over.
said his heart is totaly fine, so she told us to take a urine sample from him. . Boy was that hard to do! He never uses his litter tray, but anyway i got one the other day and the vets said they couldnt find anything wrong with him.
So she wants to take a blood sample from him just to really make sure. Will update you on that on sat. Hope all is well.

Re: Check up on tigger at the vets

One of my friends had a cat with thyroid problems who went really thin. He was fine once they confirmed the problem with a blood test and sorted out the dosage of tablets.
Good luck Tigger!

I'll second what Donna says. It's good that your vet is being so thorough.

Hugs to Tigger!!

Re: Check up on tigger at the vets

Hi,

Well we took Tigger to the vets and when the man vet (Tigger doesn't like that man vet) went to get him out the carry case, Tigger did his usual hiss to say get of me! Once he was out the vet checked him again n said he was perfectly healthy.

Second thing to weigh him again and was 4.3kg last week he was 4.4kg but they did weigh him in different basket to last week!

Third thing was to shave a part of him so they could get some blood from him to check his kidneys! But surprise surprise tigger would not let him near him. They even tried to wrap him up in a towel but he was having none of it lol. (that's my bro)

So then the vet said they would have to sedate him to get any blood. Which me n my mum didn't really want to do coz he is getting on abit now. So we said we would leave it for abit, Then check his weight again and if it has changed a lot then we would definitely let them get some blood from him.

So yeah he's totally fine at the mo.
