Smells nice but is it dangerous??My darling daughter has rubbed or poured vanilla cented oil on to C-Fur. You smell hom before you notice him  This morning I couldnt understand why his coat was wet as he hadnt been outside. Now my hand is stinking as well.Do you think it will do him any harm? Or how do I get it off> Not sure about putting him in a bath. Plus the water would have to be pretty hot to get through oil. Any ideas?

eek Poor C-FurIs it somewhere he is likely to lick? Wouldn't have thought it will do him any good - don't really know if it will harm.......... Do you think something inert like Fullers Earth powder sprinkled in his fur, rubbed in to absorb the oil and then brushed out as best you can might work? Otherwise think I'd just use absorbent material - towelling or better still one of those microfibre cloths - and rub and rub and rub. Kids! Who'd have 'em! |

Its right the way along one side of him. a good lickable spot. Fullers earth may do the job. He would look shiney if it wasnt for the fact all his fur is sticking up and it looks matted. Will try to get a photo to show you what I mean. |

Jac, when Cassie was younger she used to come back covered in black oil from somewhere......I bought a packet of wipes for cats from Sainsbury's, they are called Quick Bath for Cats and are heavy duty and extra thick, size 8" x 10" pre moistened .....you get 5 in a pack. They didn't remove all the black but I can honestly say it took about 90% of it off. They also contain aloe vera and vits A & E... |

I've decided to bath him I may get shreded but he's been a bit sick. I'm off now. If I'm not back in a few hours phone an ambulance |

@ Jac!! Poor c-fur let us know how you get on Jac...what about phoning the vet to ask if they know if it is toxic or not? |

To say he was not impressed is an under statment! as soon as he was dry he ran out the house as quick as a flash! As if to say you keep that horrible wet stuff away from me! here's a photo of him at the top of the garden.  He know's there is NO way I can get him down LOL |
