Luckily it did not break too short, so still looks ok....Hate breaking nails!!!use hard as nails by the bottle full!

I had actually forgotten that that was the reason for the superstition in the first place, Dandysmom - how forgetful was that? Anyway, poor Moli seems to have broken a nail now, so that was her third thing. Sorry you have had a similar experience. I broke one of mine just before Christmas quite low down - it was sore for a while. A friend of mine has acrylic nails glued on - she has someone come and do them for her. Don't suppose those ever break!

Probably your Dad wasn't in it, Angie! Mine was; he's buried in our Arlington Cemetery here in Washington. I grew up on WWI stories and songs..

No, my Dad was in WW2 - he was in the Tank Corp and was a Desert Rat. I think they still sung the same songs though with the same rude words!

Well, my Dad was much too much of a gent ever to tell me rude words either ........ actually, he never swore to my knowledge. The worst he ever said was "Some silly fool ....."
