Cleo

Arrived on my bed at 05.00 hrs purring away and making butter on my sheets.

Since then she has eaten, slept and purred quite a lot.

Well that`s what cats do isn`t it??

Re: Cleo

A perfect description of a happy well loved cat! A pity you can't reset her internal clock to join you at a slightly later hour .....

Re: Cleo

I always feel honoured when Kizzy purrrrrs at me. My chiropodist's cat purrrred at me on Tuesday - he doesn't know me, nor I him, but he still purrrred when I stroked him. (Big ginger boy, aged about 10). Made my day.

Re: Cleo

Mine (Myshka that is) wakes me periodically during the night - mewing, purring, kneading and (lately) humping my leg
Despite all this I can doze whilst shoving him off or settling him in a corner of the bed where he'll kip . . . and allow me to aswell!!

I interpreted that as the same as kneading with her paws

Re: Cleo

Kneading bread, making butter = similies to describe a happy cat flexing her front paws as if she were doing any of the above things. Supposedly it refers to the action a kitten does when suckling from her mum to help express the milk.
