More Efficient Washing Machine???Well as you all know I had a new kitchen fitted a while ago.  Am loving the new kitchen, and the dishwasher is brilliant - been too long without one!  The tumble dryer is great, and so is the oven and hob that were all fitted. The washing machine on the other hand is a nightmare  - or maybe it is just me!!! It is a Hotpoint one, so a reasonable make, and it is supposed to be very energy efficient and very quiet to use.It is very quiet I give them that, and it is efficient in the fact it hardly uses any water (one of its selling points), but that is where the efficiency ends.... it doesnt seem to rinse properly as it uses hardly any water I have tried using less powder and better fabric softener, but it is not helping. The black clothes all dry with white patches all over them, and the childrens skin is becoming all itchy as they are wearing clothes that still have detergent in them. I am now having to wait for the wash to finish, then set the machine off on another rinse cycle... so where is the efficiency in that???? Has anyone else had any problems with the newer machines you can buy???

I have a Hotpoint Ultima, its really good, sounds as if your machine is on a half load Donna.... |

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius Extra washer / dryer and have to say I am very pleased with it. I have had it about three years now and never had an issue with it...Perhaps yours is faulty Donna? |

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius and I haven't had any problem with it.... Maybe you should contact the Hotpoint Service and explain it to them Donna........it sounds as if something isn't right there..... |

I have looked up this machine on the internet, and some other reviews have stated the same thing, so dont know if it is a design fault. |

I'd be inclined to go back to where I bought it and tell them it doesn't work right Donna...I wouldn't like to think of all that detergent left in the kiddies clothes |
