Meet Cow-Pat

here's Cow pat. He's a tabby male, 6 months old & is a farm kitten from a dairy farm. He stinks like a cattle shed (in a nice way) and he's so well behaved. He has been well socialised & been used to going in the farmhouse. He was handed over to me at work & spent all day with me in the office yesterday. He was very chilled out as you can see. He has today been for his blood test & castration & also to have a hernia op.

Bless him, he looks quite at home in your office...

Is he going to keep his name?

Yes, he's from a girl at work that keeps cats for catching mice/rats. They are responsible as they breed some litters to keep the numbers up, but will have some of them neutered too. I asked her if she had any kittens she needed homing as we ahve so many people waiting & she didn't have any, except a 6 mth old one, so I asked her if she was keeping him & she said she wasn't bothered really. He was a cheeky chap, whch is why they'd hung onto him, but said he may as well find a nice home elsewhere as they have some kittens due soon. I know we are all anti-breeding (me included) & she does know my views - but I do feel that they let them breed in a controlled way & they are all well looked after & well fed. They keep about 20 cats for the farm.

Yes I gave it to him He didn't have a name & he really does smell of a farm, not a horrible smell, just a cowwy smell. We have 3 of our dogs at work that live on dairy farms & the smell when visiting them is what he smells of. Couldn't resist calling him cow pat, but I think we may call him Chico on the website, incase people are put off by his name.

Re: Meet Cow-Pat

He looks absolutely gorgeous - I'm sure someone will snap him up soon!
Maybe leaving the name Cow-Pat (and maybe offering an alternative, or saying he doesn't need to keep it!) would draw more attention to him and help him find hid perfect home more quickly.
Good luck to him - I think he is a smasher ..... (Yes I am broody, but can't do anything about it)
