Hun, your little baby is fine, 11lbs is barely overweight. Unless his weight is causing detriment to his health, I don't believe there is much to worry about. Two of my three cats weigh much more than 11lbs now. My heaviest being 40-some-odd pounds, and completely healthy. My vet has even constantly stated to me, although my largest cat is morbidly obese, his health is amazing, and he doesn't need to go on a diet! |

i do not have a clue what all my 7 cats weigh but they are all healthy getting regular exercise |

Thanks all for your input, it doesn't appear that Cassie is too overweight then. She is rather big around her tummy area but I'm sure with a bit of exercise in future, we can do something about that!  |

Lily is 5.5 lbs (whats that 2.5 kgs?) last time she went to the vets, which was a while back so she might be about 6 lbs now at 2 years old (she should be done growing now). |

Denis weighs 12.2lb (5.2kg)!!!!!!!! that's nearly 3 lily's he he. He isn't fat but is a big boy. the vet asked was his mum mated with a lion? and everyone at the vets have commented on him being a big boy. |

BC, have you posted a pic of Denis? I don't remember seeing one, or am I just having a senior moment?!! Didn't you have trouble with Photobucket, as I recall? I did too when I was new here. I'd love to see him: my Leia, 14 pounds is a big cat also! |

I weighed Guinness a few days ago and he is gown down from 20lbs to 16lbs which for him is a big acievment. He is so motivated as well an now loves going outside. jane |

Guys how do you weigh your kitties? When Patch was tiny I weighed him on the kitchen scales LOL but he's too big :P |

Jane weigh the cat carrier either zero the scales or take it the weight of from it. Or you could weigh yourself then weigh your cat thats how i found guinness weight. jane |
