What a lovely flower Eileen and a very attractive arrangment. I was looking at various hellebores at a nursery on Thursday - there are some beautiful ones, all different colours. So attractive at this time of the year.

That is lovely. Like the colour too - It is a plant I don't have, as yet, in the garden.

I've eventually drawn up a planting and layout plan for the top quarter of the garden which includes an area for them as I always think they look stunning at this time of year.

Lots of digging and construction required first (and saving for the plants, paving, gazebo etc)

That sounds lovely, especially the gazebo ...would love to have room for one! Hellebores take a while to get established. don't do too much the first and second years, but then they take off! Two of mine are the purplish color in the pic, the third is a sort of greenish cream with purple edging, very pretty. I'm thinking of getting some more. And squirrels don't like them!!!

I put in a dozen camassias this Autumn, and apparently ALL were dug up and eaten by the wretched rodent...I caught him at it once....I'm livid!

That is so frustrating - I seem to be lucky here. Although we have a few of them around they seem to spend most of the time trying to get the peanuts out of the squirrel proof bird feeders. - with varying degrees of success
