Amaryllis ...Dandysmom...


The one I thought my son had killed, I top dressed with fresh compost about a week ago, and it now has 2 new leaves, what will it do now, will it flower???

Oh great! It just went dormant due to lack of watering. It may decide to rebloom now or it may not. I'd just keep it watered and put it outside when it gets warm enough and see what happens. They can be so erratic about reblooming. One that I brought in last Autumn is just NOW sending up a bud shoot, in mid-March! And Picotee reblooms in midsummer as well as in Autumn!. Crazy plants, you never know.

Oh, forgot you're going to Houston...ask your son to keep it watered while you're away; I suspect now that it's broken dormancy and sending up leaves it might die this time if not watered....

Than ks Eileen, he will be given strict instruction to water it!!!
I have given my trays of seeds to Jaynes Dad to look after, so at least they will be ok!!
