Mystery Plants

Went to garden centre yesterday and bought 3 mystery plants. This is a plant that has lost its label and the centre sell off cheaply rather than wait until next time it grows.

So, I paid 99p each for a -

clematis
pot of bulbs
herbacious/border plant

At that price if they don't survive it's not the end of the world.

I do this every year and have had a few surprises. Most of them grow so it is quite good to play - guess the plant when they sprout.

hope so. Have to admit any time I've bought a pot of bulbs they end up to be daffs. Never mind, they fill a space.

You can never get enough daffs......I enjoy buying "surprises" from the garden centre.

That's going to be fun seeing what they are. Hope the clematis turns out to be the gorgeous purple one, but they're all lovely. They don't do well for me...

. Neighbor across the alley has a stunning one. No such thing as too many daffodils, as Kazz said. Maybe a pic of the other when it starts growing so we can guess?

Good idea - will do.

I'll maybe post the clematis if/when it comes into flower and see if anyone can name it. I would like a purple or pink one. Garden tends to have mainly these colours.

Just noticed today the snowdrops are making their way up through the frozen ground.

No signs of my snowdrops, but a bud appearing on one hellebore!

Yes, quite. I was surprised, especially as this Winter has been harsher than last. No snow so far, thank God, but much colder.
