Sports day

Well it was Jack's sports day yesterday.

Jack is my nephew and is Autistic and also has learning difficulties. Well the Sports day was fantastic it was the first one at his "big school" senior school he went there last year at 12 and will be there till 18 the school has a sports field and track.
His class are the youngest

he won the running race YAH. He came 2nd in the obstacle course YAH and he came first in the egg and spoon race. He dropped the egg twice

then solved his problem he held the egg in one hand the spoon in the other.

One lad about 14-15 set off on the running race but carried on round the track they let him do the first lap tried to catch him but he evaded them and carried on off over the fields

with at least 7 teachers in pursuit - the announcer with the mike gave us all a running commentary such as "Miss X is gaining on him, no she slipped, Mr T is making up ground on the outside will he catch him no he's been tripped by Miss P making an outside....." excellent day had by all.

Sounds like it was a fun filled sports day Kazz!

I'm pleased to hear Jack did so well, I bet he was so excited!

I think they all won a race

so everyone gets a prize.

Jack made everyone laugh by holding the egg.

But he made everyone go "Ahhhh" when he went and got a chair and took it brought it over to my Mom - his Nan - he knows she does nt stand to well never realised before then he "understood" but he obviously does and took action.

Very very very proud.

Aww Kazz, your first bit made me laugh. Well done Jack. Your second bit about getting the chair brought a lump to my throat. Bless, what a kind boy. He certainly proved he's a winner when it comes to caring for others. (((()))) Hugs to Jack.
