giving meds


wots the easiest way to give meds???



ive been giving Toby my oldest cat who is nearly 17 "aktivait" prescribed by the vet due to toby's age and growing senility



obviously i want to give it in the easiest way possible,the vet told me to spinkle it on his food every day,but some times toby wont eat the little i give him with the stuff in it



any suggestions?????

I take it its a powder then is it?
If so, does Toby like things like sardines, mackeral at all? Maybe a little strong smelling food mixed with his powder would be better than his normal foods...just a thought.

i read up on it,it says it takes 3/4 wks for it to kick in !!!!!!!!!!!

I give my 17 year old a sprinkle of Vionate each morning, just as a multi.vit, just a tiny bit, she doesn't always eat it either, added to the fact that cats get fussier with their food as they get older doesn't help I know!

All you can do is to give it to Toby with a tiny bit of his favourite food before he has his first meal of the day and hope for the best.

I take it you can't mix it in with a little cat milk..
