Ernie The 2nd-Guinea-Pig

Passed Away This Morning, he wasn't right last night so brought him inside and spent most of the night awake, Ralph lying by my side gently nuzzling him, and he passed away this morning. No Idea Why..it was very quick downfall and we were off up the vets with him this morn..but he was gone at about half seven..
Again, does make me suspicious..especially within light of certaint hings
So strange...the first time in many years that there hasn't been a hutch with life in outside..
Again, can't get my head around this one

Luke, I am so very sorry to hear this news

RIP Ernie x

Luke - if you suspect 'foul play' do you think it might be worth having post mortem done on Ernie? Just a thought....

Oh Luke - you must be wondering which of the gods you have offended. Try to keep your spirits up but I wouldn't blame you if you feel like screaming and shouting. Is your mum coping OK?

Re: Ernie The 2nd-Guinea-Pig

Thanks all..we agreed with the vet that as cavies are such easily shockable little animals n the smallest thing can set them down the wrong path that little would/could be gained from investiagting him..and i think our vet got the impression i wasn't too happy about having him chopped up..so we buried him this morning, no good in my mind could come from going any further.
With situation as they are you do feel as if its something we're doing wrong..years we have had rabbits n guinea-pigs etc..never had as much loss like this bar a fox attack..its just hmmn..and with the neighbours etc..everything really does seem quite unbearable right now-but you get through and continue living life in some form of normaility.

You have to do what suits you best Luke, I know if it was me and I suspected foul play then I would have had the pm done. I hope things improve for you now Luke.

RIP Ernie x
