Swans, cygnets and ducklings..


This is such a lovely time of the year when you can see the new arrivals in the animal and bird world..

The cygnets here are getting quite big now. The pigeon on the left of the pic was getting too close for comfort to the cygnets and Mama swan, being very protective of her brood, attacked it!








There were 5 cygnets altogether but one has gone walkies!
They are just beginning to lose their fluffy down before growing their lovely plumage.





Ducklings of all shapes and sizes that have recently hatched in the hatchery.....

Great photos, very cute subjects! We live next to the canal and I often see the ducklings out with their mum's while hanging out my laundry!
