Thanks everyone.
Smudge has been keeping her eye on them alright the crafty madam waited & watched Paul ride off on his bike & then she ran & dived into the concrete - I swear she knew once he'd gone she could do what she likes

On the other hand, Emily can't see what all the fuss is about & wishes they'd hurry up & stop making such a noise

Emily is happy to survey the works to see if they are to standard from her higher viewpoint on the windowsill. She has sent Smudge down to further investigate a few queries she has regarding the concreting and brick laying. I hope Smudge duly reported back after a closer inspection!!
