I posted a cat litter question when I first joined Catsey and I swapped to Catsan and I found it to be the best.

You'll probably find your two have less problems swapping to Catsan if you mix it with your old brand to start with Matt and gradually increase the Catsan component.

Catsan hasn't been working well for me.

It doest last as long as worlds best and seems to get everywhere round the house, I keep standing on massive white rocks all over the house.

Think I'm going to go back to worlds best.
Keeps smells away, doesn't go everywhere and probably cheaper as it lasts longer.

I too use pettex. It's clay-based and clumping so any 'matter' is wrapped in the grit and the smell is suppressed and then easy to scoop out. Mine never got on with catsan either - they found it too light - it was always all over the floor!

It's about £5.25 for a 10KG bag but that's from an expensive local pet shop - £3.50 from www.pettex.co.uk

Of course it still gets kicked out of the tray but I don't find it goes everywhere.

I think it's about experimenting with what works for the girls and for your pocket!

I use any wood pellet based cat litter, they're pretty much all the same. Chole seems to like it, it smells of pine, is sustainable and biodegradeable

I used to use Oko plus:

It's much like cats best in how it works but I found it tracked a lot and stuck to my long haired cat. I then found the same company do a one for longhaired cats:

This is a different shape (looks like the pellets of a wood based) and is good for tracking, and great value, i'd definitely recommended it and especially to other long haired cat owners too.

I have gone for the cheap as chips option this time.
Pettex 20KG for £6.25 , spent the money I saved on cat litter on good quality food

Lets hope the Pettex stuff is good, or yolas getting 20KG of it dumped at her house
