Bernie to the vet today

He's still not right, am thinking it has to do with his teeth as he has gingivitis.
So it's a trip to see Andrew this afternoon.

Oh poor Bernie. That is painful. I hope he can have some anti-inflamatories to take the anger out of the gums but usually extraction is the only long-term solution

Re: Bernie to the vet today

Andrew said that on a scale of 1 to 5 Bernies teeth and gingivitis would be about a 2 and therefore doesnt think that's whats bothering him. He also said that there is not alot of tartar on his teeth either. However, just to cover all things, he gave Bernie a penicillin injection and a steriod injection. The former, incase of any small infection and the latter incase Bernie is pain sensitive due to the gingivititis.
He said to see hyow he goes over the next few days. If there is no improvement I should take him back and possibly check his liver and kidney function.
On another note though, Bernie was not a happy camper going to the vets normally he is the laid back dude. He went scapey and broke several claws which pinged me in the face whilest trying to drive
