Had to take Merlin to the vet this afternoon

Poor Merlin has cystitis again. He seemed fine this morning, snoozing in the sun on the window sill but early afternoon he was trying to squat all over the place but nothing much was coming out and the little that did was tinged with blood. He has had bouts of this so often over the years and luckily enough I was able to get him to the vet within an hour of noticing the symptoms. So he's had antibiotic injection and anti-inflammatory injection (not having had any Metacam since Monday as luck would have it). He's much calmer now and hopefully no longer in pain. He was going for a check up anyway on Friday, so he's going back then to see how he is getting on.

Poor old lambkin - it's not fair is it?

Hope he's better soon. Both Balie and I suffer, so full sympathies are with Merlin
