Oh and I'm sure you will look a smart bird in your new blue jacket!
The very same Mags. he's done some fantastic albums since the S&G days. I thought of one of his songs 'Late Great Johnny Ace' yesterday when we got sad news. It's actually about John Lennon's death but it fits wherever there's the loss of someone you didn't actually know.
"And the two of us went to this bar, and we stayed to close the place, and every song we played was for the late, great, Johnny Ace."
You probably need to know it - may be able to hear a few bars on Amazon.

Anyway - I'm really excited!

Global warming i tell you!
On a more somber note...was a very sad day today, one of my mothers best friends passed away this morning (epileptic related death). Most sudden, and most sad.
Hoped i haven't lowered the mood-just thought i should explain my fleeting abscences.

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Luke: sorry to hear about your mum's friend; DM: love the jacket, very chic! And adore Simon (and Garfunkel too in the early days!) Mags: what bulbs are you planting? Sunny, windy & chilly here, only 63F...too chilly for me. Got new glasses at the opticians this morning and am very pleased with the new frames...stylish, I think..and nice to have sharper vision with the new prescription!!
