Re: Neutering

They should be Janey. With a male its just snip a small hole, pop it out and pull! twice of course! No stitches nothing. With a she Cat its an op, inside with bits taken out and bits tied off, and of course external stitching or glueing too.
Dawn.

Re: Neutering

The RSPCA and SSPCA did have a scheme (sp) that they did either for £25. Leave it with me and I'll find out more for you tomorrow. Its only certain vets that do it for them so Id ring arround if I were you. I'll find out from my friend tomorrow if they are stil doing it for you if you want.

Re: Neutering

Prices vary a lot from practice to practice. One vet locally charges £35 - for a cat spay which I think is reasonable.

Re: Neutering

Well I asked at our vets today and spey is £34.95 and Neuter is £24.95 and ours is one of the dearer practises in the area.....

So for one girl and one boy the total cost at our vets would be £59.90

Re: Neutering

I've done some phoning round and have found a vet that can spay her for £35 so I guess I'll be going there to have her done. She will be done in the New Year around Feb time.

Re: Neutering

Well I must say, that compared to our prices here, that's cheap.. And you say that's for both of them?

I paid £100 to get my female cat spayed and about £70 to get Oliver neutered and we are talking 1996 and 1997, so its probablely gotten more expenssive..
