I've offered to go and collect them still and take them to the other volunteer that's now having them.

That was a fantastic amount to raise Charlie, no wonder they are well pleased!

I think you are being very sensible about the kittens with your holiday not that far away ..... I'm sure you'll get to foster some more one day!
