What a surprise we had this morning

Was getting dressed when OH called me and the kiddies downstairs. He told us to be very, very quiet (almost an impossibility in my house lol )

Hubby then opened the front door and sat right on our doorstep all huddled in the corner we saw a very young starling. When it saw us it fluttered off into the hedge.

It was wonderful to see

How lovely and nice for the children to see.

We have a nest box for blue tits and last year when we cleaned the box out all the babies were dead inside I was paranoid it would happen again, but to my delight the box was empty apart from a lovely cosy moss 'nest!

Awww Kim that's really sweet.

We had a bird box in the garden as kids and every year we'd have blue tits nesting in it
