Re: Works Christmas do?

I have my works night out tomorrow Kazz. It is black tie. So for the first time in god knows how many years I will be wearing a dress. It is mainly black and comes just below knee. Being short I cant wear dresses too long cos I look stoopid!!

On top of that I have bought a faux fur little jacket in a beigy colour.

Dont normally do dresses but thought I make the effort and get the legs out and shock everyone!!

Re: Works Christmas do?

BAD subject I've just been traipsing the length and breadth of Reading's extensive shopping facilities looking for something suitable.

I end up either looking like my Mum (not good coz she's 80) or like mutton dressed as lamb. I'm a bit miffed I can't find anything . . . I shall have to look again tomorrow night but without Dominik in tow . . .

I love black and I want a dress but it seems all there is available are separates

Exactly why I have started the thread, I have trawled ever shop available in B'ham and the Black Country and there is NOTHING out there believe me. But going back out again tomorrow - Good luck to you. Our do is Sunday night in a posh B'ham city centre hotel not black tie but smart and everyone appears to be wearing long dresses Lord knows what I want but wanted to escape from black - but doubt I will

Re: Works Christmas do?

I found it extremely hard to find anything suitable. Not much out there at the moment.

Either frumpy old stuff or end up looking like a prostitute!!!!
