kuan yin vomiting

i found some vomit when i came home from the hospital today but didn't know whose it was. it was just white foam.
then a few hours later i saw something hanging from kuan yin's chin and it was foamy saliva. i wiped it for her then she vomited what basically looked like white soap bubbles.
i called the vet and they said since it's been a few hours it can't be something toxic b/c she would have crashed by now..prob just ate something the dogs tracked in that disagrees with her tummy but if she doesn't eat tonight then bring her in tomorrow or to the ER tonight if she keeps vomiting.
my other half is in the hospital already..
please, kuan yin, not you too

Well I would suggest not feeding her & keeping her separate with plenty of water to drink & see what happens... is she long haired? Furball maybe?

Re: kuan yin vomiting

Mine do that now and again. Hopefully just some careful diet management for a day or two should do the trick, something readily digestible like chicken boiled in water should help.

If it continues much past 36 hours then certainly seek professional advice.

Re: kuan yin vomiting

Smudge does that every so often and howls horribly just before. It is usally a furball as she is long haired and despite daily grooming it occasionally happens. She recovers quickly.
Is she an indoor cat? My (outdoor) cats sometimes eat grass and throw it up in a pool of drool but have always been fine straight away. I'm sure she'll be fine but if not after a couple of days I would get her checked.

Alfie also chucks up white foam on occasion. Usually I just give him some bland food and he's ok in 24/36hours.

Sure she'll be ok.

Re: kuan yin vomiting

She is better. Before I left for the hospital I saw her drink but she refused baby food which is her fave so I think something was really disagreeing with her. She's acting normal (chasing bugs) and not vomiting but I haven't seen her eat yet, then again I've been out all day. I think she's better though.

Re: kuan yin vomiting

OK... good! Drinking & behaving normal is good!!

Keep an eye on her & I often boil chicken & rice & feed small amounts to see if that helps... also anti furball treatments may help settle her belly???
