Re: Mattress...Questions

I've got to get a new mattress too but haven't started looking properly yet so can't really help on specifics. We've decided to get a pocketed spring one with as many springs as possible, they vary a lot! It may be daft but we plan to spend as much as we can possibly afford, providing we get it from somewhere reputable (poss. John Lewis in our case) then we should be ok.

I know it's false economy to buy a cheap one and, as I suffer from insomnia, I need all the help I can to get a good night's sleep.

I really need to look into it I agree with the pocketed spring one with as many springs as possible theory Mrs H. I have not been sleeping well but think its down to the mattress..being past its sell by date.

Re: Mattress...Questions

I bought a memory foam topper about a month ago, its absolute bliss. My old mattress is about two years old but not as comfy as it once was and this saves buying a whole new mattress - as long as you dont have springs breaking through they are brilliant! Just a thought for those of you whose mattresses are nt quite completely past it! Jan x

Re: Mattress...Questions

I, too, have a memory foam topper on my mattress and find it pure heaven!

One bit of advice if anyone is thinking of getting a topper........ go for the thickest one you can afford

Re: Mattress...Questions

Ive got the memory foam topper as well, think its great!!! Though had to buy new base sheets cos none of them fitted anymore.
I did have a feather bed mattress topper first but didn't like the fact it needed shaking every day...
